The Candela GentleMax Pro is a leading professional laser platform designed to provide effective laser hair removal for a wide range of skin tones. Laser hair removal is currently available exclusively at our Henderson, Nevada location and is not offered at our other Pretty Kitty locations.

Are there any topical creams or medications I should avoid before getting waxed?
All of these should be discontinued for 3 months before getting waxed with the exception of Accutane which should be discontinued up to a year.

What is a Brazilian wax?
The Brazilian wax removes all the hair both front and back. Some clients may also prefer to leave a little on top. We can customize just for you. Also includes the belly trail and inner thigh. *This is service is for clients with a vagina.
What can I do to prepare?
Avoiding caffeine for 5 hours before getting waxed will greatly reduce sensitivity. Caffeine restricts the blood vessels so skin is not getting as much blood flow which increases sensitivity. Taking an Ibuprofen 30 mins before will aid in reducing sensitivity and inflammation. Pregnant women may prone to be more sensitive at this time.
Does it hurt?
The majority of our clients are pleasantly surprised when getting waxed with us for the first time. Our estheticians are highly trained in our proprietary waxing techniques and we also use a very high quality soft Italian cream wax so pain is greatly minimized. Waxing is our passion and what we specialize in. You are in good hands at The Pretty Kitty.
How long should I wait to get waxed after I’ve shaved?
3-4 weeks is recommended. It takes time to grow out each of the 3 cycles. If you come in prematurely you may not achieve a desirable result.
