For the best results, the hair should generally be about one-quarter of an inch long, or approximately the length of a grain of rice. Avoid shaving between appointments because hair that is too short may not be fully removed by the wax.

Most clients schedule their Brazilian or bikini waxing appointments approximately every four to six weeks. Staying on a consistent waxing schedule can help keep the hair growth cycle more manageable and provide smoother, more consistent results.

Allow your hair to grow to the appropriate length and gently exfoliate the area one or two days before your appointment. On the day of your wax, arrive with clean skin and avoid applying heavy lotions, oils, or creams to the area being waxed.

For the first 24 to 48 hours, avoid excessive heat, heavy exercise, tight clothing, swimming pools, hot tubs, and products that may irritate freshly waxed skin. Your Aliante esthetician can also recommend professional aftercare products based on your skin and waxing routine.

Many clients with sensitive skin receive waxing services successfully. Let your esthetician know about any sensitivities, skincare products, prescriptions, or recent skin treatments before your service so she can evaluate the area and discuss the safest approach.
